Offer Description
We offer a fully funded 48-month PhD position. The PhD student will focus on the control of bioorthogonal reactions by mechanical bond (rotaxanes). The work will imply the synthesis of interlocked molecules (and their non-interlocked analogues), which are able to undergo a biorthogonal reaction on the axle of the rotaxane. Once synthesized and characterized, the kinetics of the biorthogonal reaction will be tested, and the effect of the macrocycle around the axle will be evaluated. Rotaxanes…
