Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality, patient-centered care for adult inpatients
- Collaborate with other providers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver and improve patient care
- Supervise and support physician assistants and nurse practitioners
- Participate in hospital committees and programs to enhance patient services
- Complete timely documentation and ensure high standards of care
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows (if assigned teaching roles)
- Support and engage in clinical research (if applicable)

Pay:
Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Salary: $220,000-$315,000
Paid Time Off:
50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement
Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and TSP with up to 5% in contributions by V.A.
Insurance:
Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure:
1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory
CME:
Possible $2,500 per year reimbursement
Malpractice:
Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract:
No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting
Work Schedule:
Full time, night shift (7pm-7am). 7 days on, 7 days off
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.
Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible.
