Job Summary
Under the direction of the Supervising Plumber, this position provides skilled plumbing work in installation, repair, and maintenance of university structures, minor construction and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain piping systems including water, gas, air, steam, vacuum, storm drains, waste lines, irrigation systems, and related traps and valves.
- Performs schedule preventive maintenance requiring repair or replacement of plumbing parts or equipment when necessary.
- Test, certify, and repair backflow preventive devices.
- Sees that tools, materials, and equipment are on hand or available to the job to function efficiently and economically.
- Assist in all University functions, responds to emergency situations as required.
