Point-of-Care Electrochemical Biosensors for Rapid Bacterial Detection
Point-of-Care Electrochemical Biosensors for Rapid Bacterial Detection
Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, University of Strathclyde
Dr Ying Fu
Applications accepted all year round
Funded PhD Project (UK Students Only)
About the Project
Rapid detection of bacterial contamination is critical across healthcare, agriculture, and industrial settings. Conventional microbiological culture methods remain time-consuming and laboratory-bound. This PhD project will develop next-generation point-of-care electrochemical biosensors capable of rapid, sensitive, and portable bacterial detection.
Working at the interface of bioelectronics, electrochemistry, and translational sensing technologies, the project aims to create deployable sensing platforms that address real-world detection challenges.
