About the Job
Working under the direction of Drs. Martin Felices and Jeffrey Miller, you will engage in research evaluating novel methodologies for genetic editing of NK cells. The postdoctoral candidate in question will work on projects evaluating novel methodologies for genetic editing of NK cells for immunotherapy.
The work will focus on finishing up studies (30% effort) and drafting (50% effort) of two manuscripts exploring optimization of immune editing methodologies. The postdoc will also dedicate effort (20%) to collaborations with other labs focused on the genetic editing methodologies.
The candidate will also be expected to analyze literature, prepare and present data, collaborate with other groups, help train and work with graduate students, and generate reports or publications.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- PhD (must have defended thesis)
- NK cell biology and gene editing.
- Experience with CRISPR editing also required for position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Publication record with minimum 2 years experience
- The candidate will be independent and have broad knowledge of the NK cell biology field as well as experience with isolation and manipulation of NK cells.
- Experience with a broad spectrum of NK cell biology assays highly desired. Experience with transduction/transfection techniques (retrovirus/electroporation) will be a plus.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $62,000 - $65,000 depending on education/qualifications/experience
