Position Summary

The applicant will participate in switchgrass and turfgrass disease management by breeding for disease resistance and exploring for biocontrol agents. The applicant will work on identifying sources of disease resistance, carrying out functional analysis of gene expression, developing collections of plant pathogens and mycoparasites, studying pathogen population structure, and investigating parasite-pathogen-plant interactions.
