Post Doctoral Fellow
A postdoctoral scholar will work on combining density functional theory calculations and machine learning (ML) to model the life-cycle stability in beyond-lithium ion batteries.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in scientific programming, atomistic simulations and/or ML. Experience in LiS coin cell battery synthesis. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative research environment are essential.
Job Duties
- Performing simulations using quantum mechanical-based methods implemented in standard software (30%)
- Synthesis and preparation of coin-cell batteries (50%)
- Preparation of manuscripts via compiling, plotting, analyzing, discussing, and communicating results (20%)
