Job Description Summary: The Post Doctoral Fellow in the Division of Nephrology will perform research in the areas of data management and health outcomes analysis for the Director of Outcomes and Implementation Research. In this position, the Fellow will be responsible for literature reviews and abstraction of data, preparation of statistical reports for various clinical studies, manuscripts, and grants, as well as the management of large clinical datasets.
Job Duties
Research Overview: will perform research in the areas of data management and health outcomes analysis.
- Perform literature reviews and abstraction of data.
- Preparation of statistical reports for various clinical studies, manuscripts, and grants.
- Manage large clinical datasets.
Expectations: The Postdoc will be expected to complete research projects under the guidance of the faculty mentor.
- Read literature articles, develop new ideas, and assimilate the information into his/her project design/interpretation.
- Dissemination of studies: Interact on a regular basis with their faculty mentor and members of the multi-disciplinary research team to discuss research design and interpretation of results.
Compliance: Attend and maintain compliance on all orientation and training sessions designated by the University, and the Nephrology Department, understand and follow IACUC and biosafety protocols, and attend departmental seminars and regular lab meetings.
Required Qualifications
Education: MD, DO, PharmD, Pharm, or PhD or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- Experience in principal and advanced statistical methods.
- Experience and working knowledge with a statistical software (E.g. SAS, STATA, R, and SPSS).
- Experience conducting evidence synthesis and systematic reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience:
- Experience in advanced analytical theories, predictive modeling, data mining, and data extraction.
- Experience in clinical and health services research.
- Experience in using various statistical software (SAS, STATA, R, and SPSS).
- Experience with mixed methods (including qualitative) data analysis and software (e.g., NVivo).
- Experience in using systematic review software (e.g., RevMan).
