The appointee will be working in the HKUST Emotion and Personality Research Group (michelleyik.people.ust.hk/) on projects related to emotion, the interface between large language models (LLMs) and mental health, and the relationship between personality and language.
The main job responsibilities include:
- preparing research materials;
- programming and monitoring online surveys;
- managing data sets and performing statistical analyses; and
- writing technical reports and contributing to research articles.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills; and the ability to show initiative and work independently. Familiarity with LLM and machine learning is a plus.
For appointment as a Post-doctoral Fellow (Research Assistant), a PhD (bachelor’s) degree in psychology or related disciplines is required. (Duration: 1 year)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
