Post Doctoral Scholar
The College of Engineering's Department of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar to work under the supervision of Dr. Jinghua Li. The Post Doctoral Scholar will focus on the design, development, and integration of humanmachine interfaces and advanced circuit systems for next-generation bioelectronic platforms. This includes flexible and wearable devices, multimodal sensing interfaces, and embedded electronics for real-time signal processing and interaction.
Areas of interest include:
- Humanmachine interfaces for wearable and biointegrated systems
- Analog and digital circuit design for biosignal acquisition and processing
- Low-power and embedded system design for real-time applications
- Signal conditioning, amplification, and noise reduction for physiological data
- Integration of sensing, computation, and feedback for interactive systems
- Applications in healthcare, virtual/augmented reality, and humanmachine interaction
Required Education:
PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field
Desired Education:
PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field
Required Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise in bioelectronics, materials science, or a closely related field
- Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications
- Hands-on experience with device fabrication, characterization, and data analysis
- Proven ability to design and execute independent research projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Experience:
- Experience with flexible or wearable electronic systems
- Background in chemical or biological sensing
- Familiarity with signal processing, embedded systems, or machine learning
- Experience with hardwaresoftware co-design and system integration
- Prior experience mentoring undergraduate or graduate students
