The Institute of Information Security and Dependability (KASTEL) offers as soon as possible, limited for one year (extension possible), a

Your main tasks and responsibilities within this project are:

Conduct academic research which will lead to high quality scientific publications in the field of operations research and business analytics
Contribute to projects with academic and industrial partners, e.g. KASTEL, Imperial College London, hospitals in Germany etc.
Assist in teaching activities of the department

Personal qualification

We welcome candidates with a PhD with a quantitative focus, e.g., operations research, business or data analytics, finance, mathematics, etc.
Strong analytical skills
Experience in quantifying risks and uncertainties desirable
Ability to collaborate with others and work independently, take initiative and show enthusiasm
Good oral and written communication skills in English; German not required
We are looking for candidates with a strong drive and keen interest in conducting meaningful and innovative research
