The Australian National University is seeking a motivated Researcher to join a major ARENA-funded project developing low-cost, scalable perovskite–silicon tandem solar modules.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of high-efficiency perovskite solar cells and large-area flexible modules, with a focus on scalable deposition, device fabrication, module integration, characterisation and stability. The role will involve close collaboration with leading Australian research institutions and industry partners, including Halocell Energy, Tindo Solar and Greatcell Solar Materials.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimise perovskite solar cells and perovskite–silicon tandem devices.
- Develop scalable thin-film deposition and large-area module fabrication processes.
- Conduct device characterisation, performance optimisation and stability testing.
- Analyse experimental results and contribute to research publications, reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners to advance the technology towards commercialisation.
About you
We are seeking candidates with a PhD or relevant research experience in photovoltaics, perovskite solar cells, semiconductor devices, materials science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
Experience in perovskite photovoltaics, tandem solar cells, thin-film deposition, large-area device fabrication or photovoltaic characterisation will be highly regarded.
Candidates suitable for appointment at Level A or Level B are encouraged to apply. For Level B appointment, demonstrated research independence and a strong publication record will be expected.
