Postdoctoral Fellow

The Opportunity

The School of Computer Science and Engineering has an opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Biomedical Image Computing Group and contribute to cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence (AI) for retinal image analysis. As part of a world-leading research team, you will develop and evaluate state-of-the-art AI methods, including machine learning, deep learning, and foundation models, in close collaboration with ophthalmologists, clinicians, and biomedical researchers.

This position offers the opportunity to advance your scholarly research and professional activities on both national and international levels. You will contribute to the writing of scientific papers and reports for leading journals and conferences, participate in conferences and workshops, assist with the supervision of HDR students, and collaborate with clinicians, biomedical researchers, and multidisciplinary research teams.

This role reports to Professor Erik Meijering and has no direct reports.

• Salary, Level A Step 6 - AUD $113,911 per annum + 17% superannuation
