The University of Konstanz has been continuously funded by the German Excellence Strategy since 2006.The cluster-funded project “Making Political Decisions” uses experimental designs to study how elected representatives make decisions, including how they acquire and process information as well as how they take different segments of society into account. The interdisciplinary project team consists of Prof. Dr. Christian Breunig (political science), Jun.-Prof. Dr. Holly Dykstra (Economics), and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Gaissmaier (Psychology). The successful applicant will be a member of the project team and contributes to its research activities. Developing an independent research agenda within the project is highly encouraged.

Your qualifications

• PhD in political science, economics, psychology or related area
• Advanced knowledge of survey methods and experimental designs
• Ability to work constructively and effectively as part of a research team
• Excellent English writing and communication skills
