Offer Description
Description of the research subject
The post-doctoral fellow will be recruited within the framework of the national collaborative project PACTE (PEPR LUMA). The PACTE project aims to develop a new orthogonal catalysis strategy. The objective is to exploit plasmonics to enhance catalysis performance and light polarization to control and switch chemical reactions induced during catalysis. The PACTE project thus proposes to use anisotropic nanostructures as a plasmonic platform and as a support for catalysts. The post-doc's objective will be to understand the mechanisms of plasmon-assisted catalysis and to follow in situ chemical reactions for surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy. He/She will have to develop a solution and time-dependent Raman measurement methodology for monitoring the structural changes induced on the reagents during catalysis and for observing the appearance of products. By modifying the experimental conditions and plasmon parameters, it will then be possible to determine the parameters influencing plasmon-assisted catalysis.
Planning research project
- Development of the SERS monitoring methodology in microfluidic cells (M1-M3),
- Proof of concept of the monitoring of the catalysis by SERS (M4-M6),
- Determination of the influence of experimental conditions on plasmon assisted catalysis (M7-M12).
Assigned activities and expected results
- Optical characterisation of plasmonics structures
- Characterisation of molecules by Raman spectroscopy and SERS
- In-situ monitoring of the catalysis reactions by SERS
- Data analysis
- Dissemination of the research results (publications, participation to international congresses...)
- Participation to the consortium meetings
- Visits and exchanges with the other project partners
- Supervision of master students

Benefits
The contract is for a period of one year. The start date is set for October 12, 2026. The gross monthly salary is € 2,550.
