Postdoctoral Position in Ultrafast and Quantum Nano-Imaging
Job Summary
Postdoctoral Associate position in experimental ultrafast and quantum-enhanced nano-spectroscopy and nano-imaging in the group of Professor Markus Raschke (http://nano-optics.colorado.edu) and the Center for Ultrafast Nano-Optics.
Research will focus on spatially resolved imaging of quantum dynamics, energy transport, and control of nano-scale light-matter interaction in molecular electronic, nano-photonic, 2D, or corresponding hybrid materials. Depending on experience and background, work can include the study of coherent energy transfer, vibrational relaxations dynamics in molecules and solids, quantum thermalization in electron fluids, or phononic control of polariton condensates.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The candidate will work with a high degree of independence, participate in and lead collaborative research efforts, mentor and work closely with graduate and undergraduate students, present research at national and international conferences, assist with group management, and contribute to proposal writing.
What You Should Know
Anticipated start date: June 15, 2026.
What We Can Offer
The salary range for this position is $45,000-70,000 annually.
What We Require
- PhD degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Chemistry, or similar field.
- Established expertise in one or several areas of nonlinear optics, ultrafast spectroscopy, or advanced scanning probe microscopy, with a background in pulse characterization and optical detection.
