Postdoctoral Research Associate

Position Summary:

The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, is seeking a postdoctoral research associate. The chosen candidate will use skills in molecular biology, biochemistry, statistical testing and evaluation, as well as expertise in animal model systems of neurodegenerative diseases. The latter include Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease (PD and AD). Candidate will work with HIV/AIDS pathobiology, tissue culture viral propagation, viral detection, and analyses at the cellular level of virus-induced pathobiology in primary CD4+ T and myeloid cells. Position will work with animal models of PD and AD.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Scientific Field

Supplemental Qualifications:

Prior publications in the field of HIV/AIDS and AD/PD is an advantage but not a primary requirement.
