Postdoctoral Research Associate
The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing at the University of Texas at Dallas is inviting applicants for a post-doctoral research associate position in the Speech Neuroscience Lab. Our research is focused on studying the sensorimotor mechanisms of speech and their impairments in adult neurogenic populations with speech-language disorders. Excellent facilities for EEG, fMRI, and behavioral testing are available.
The Research Associate will plan, conduct, and direct a wide variety of experiments and simulations using advanced methodologies and applying complex techniques and procedures. The post-doctoral fellow's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, collection, evaluation and interpretation of research data, planning and executing the details of experiments according to research protocols, and dissemination of results through manuscript writing and conference presentation as well as grant proposal writing. The fellow will have an exciting opportunity to pursue collaborative projects across multi-disciplinary programs at the UT Dallas.
Candidates with a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech Language and Hearing Science and other related fields (e.g., Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Engineering and Psychology) are welcome to apply.
The salary for Post-Doctoral Research Associates in BBS is determined by years of experience per the current NIH (NRSA) stipend levels. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications. This appointment is for 1 year with the possibility of renewal. Continued employment is contingent on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
