Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Bilingual/Mathematics Education
Position Summary
This is a 1-year (12-month) position, renewable for a second year, beginning August 1, 2026. This position will contribute to qualitative research projects that study mathematics teaching and learning in elementary bilingual classrooms.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with faculty, doctoral research assistants, staff, and teachers on research projects.
- Conducting qualitative analyses of data, including discourse and arts-based analyses.
- Conducting longitudinal data analyses across timescales.
- Contributing to peer-reviewed publications, conference proposals, and grant writing.
- Leading the development of multimodal instructional materials.
- Mentoring graduate and undergraduate research assistants.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in mathematics education, bilingual education, or a related field, by the time of the appointment.
- Record of developing scholarly products in the areas of mathematics or bilingual education.
- Strong training and expertise in qualitative data generation and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to understand, transcribe, and analyze qualitative data in English and Spanish.
- Experience working collaboratively with faculty, doctoral students, staff, and teachers.
