About This Opportunity
This is a distinguished opportunity for an emerging Postdoctoral Research Fellow to build depth, independence and international profile in infectious diseases or microbiology within a highly collaborative, patient-orientated research environment. Based at the Frazer Institute at Herston, you will work alongside leading clinician-scientists and researchers to deliver high-impact clinical trials addressing antimicrobial resistance and serious bacterial infections.
Part-funded through the generosity of the Henderson Foundation, this role offers the intellectual freedom and institutional support to contribute to internationally significant research while developing a coherent, independent research program aligned with your expertise and aspirations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Research: Develop and contribute to a coherent research program in infectious diseases or microbiology, with a focus on the design, delivery and analysis of international clinical trials, including the TREAT-GNB platform trial, while producing high-quality research outputs and contributing to competitive funding applications.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Contribute to the supervision and development of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students and support junior researchers through feedback and guidance, fostering a positive and high-performing research culture.
- Citizenship and Service: Actively contribute to the life of the Institute through collaboration, internal service roles, emerging external partnerships, and by upholding University values.
