Offer Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join an ambitious research program focused on the development of next-generation mitochondrial-targeting anticancer agents.
Our approach combines synthetic organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, chemical biology, and nanomedicine to develop prodrugs that are selectively switched on within tumor tissues.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, synthesis, characterization, and biological evaluation of these innovative anticancer agents within a multidisciplinary and collaborative research environment.

Requirements
Research Field: Chemistry
Education Level: PhD or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
The candidate must hold a PhD diploma in Chemistry, with strong experience in at least one of these fields: Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Supramolecular Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemsitry, with a strong scientific track record and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and synthesize novel organic molecules.
- Perform compound purification and structural characterization using modern spectroscopic and analytical techniques (NMR, MS, IR, HPLC, etc.).
- Contribute to the development of structure–activity relationship studies and optimization campaigns.
- Analyze experimental data and communicate findings effectively.
- Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and project deliverables.
- Lead the preparation of high-impact scientific publications.
- Participate in the supervision and mentoring of PhD students, junior researchers, and technical staff.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the project and identify new research opportunities.
Specific Requirements
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related discipline.
- Proven expertise in multi-step organic synthesis and compound characterization.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed international journals.
- Demonstrated scientific independence and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in medicinal chemistry or drug discovery projects.
- Knowledge of biological evaluation of small molecules.
- Experience in supramolecular chemistry, membrane transport, or mitochondrial biology.
- Experience supervising students or junior researchers.
- Previous participation in international collaborative projects.
