Postdoctoral researcher in the field of digitalization, lifestyle habits, and health

You will be an important part of a dedicated team, with responsibility for a major research project that involves collaboration both nationally and internationally.
Your mission
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious postdoctoral researcher to coordinate and evaluate an intervention study starting in 2026. The study focuses on lifestyle habits and will, among other things, explore how AI can be part of lifestyle support. The study will be conducted in Swedish. The duties include:
- Design the intervention study based on your preparatory co-creation work with various stakeholders prior to its start
- Conduct data collection, data processing, and data analysis in collaboration with internal and external partners
- Provide practical supervision to bachelor’s and master’s students
- Actively participate in research discussions, contribute to a dynamic and collaborative research environment, and mentor junior colleagues
- Prepare scientific presentations, contribute to research funding applications, and participate in scientific publications
- Engage with the local community and collaborate with other researchers nationally and internationally
Your profile
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position:
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree
- Strong competence in, for example, epidemiology, biostatistics, or qualitative methods
- A strong ability to collaborate with other researchers, a high degree of independence, analytical skills, and the ability to plan work tasks and meet deadlines
- High scientific rigor, great attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Swedish is essential for interaction with study participants (healthy research subjects and patients), in teaching contexts, and in collaboration with national partners
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
- A collaborative and proactive working style, along with a strong drive to contribute to scientific advancement and to publish high-quality research
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in research on lifestyle habits, including digital methods such as AI or tools for measuring, for example, dietary intake or physical activity; experience in data processing, including qualitative methods, is considered an advantage
- Experience in leading data collection
- Solid experience working with statistical software
Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. Clinical work, for example 20%, may be combined with the position.
