Offer Description
Postdoctoral Researcher Position in the Cellular Oncology Group.
Job location: Biogipuzkoa Health Research Institute (Donostia-San Sebastián), Cellular Oncology Research Group.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate’s duties will consist of:
- Identifying new biological processes responsible for cognitive decline, fragility, and aging, using omics-based approaches.
- Analyzing and comparing data against studies published by other research groups.
- Interpreting findings associated with age-related diseases, such as cancer or neurodegenerative disorders.
- Performing clinical validations of patterns identified in samples from various sources.
- Performing biological validations of patterns identified in both cell cultures and tests on animal models.

Skills/Qualifications
ESSENTIAL:
- This contract is for DOCTORS in the areas of Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Pharmacy, and/or another similar field.
- At least 2 publications as first author.
PREFERRED:
- Experience and knowledge in Computational biology and Bioinformatics would be desirable.
- Knowledge of biological, molecular, and cellular techniques would be desirable, as well as experience with animal testing.
- Previous experience in aging with publications or attendance at conferences.
- Prior experience in training and/or leadership positions.
- Medium/high level of written and spoken English.
*A disability certificate of 33% or higher is a plus.

CONTRACTUAL CONDITIONS
- TYPE OF CONTRACT:36-month Postdoctoral Access contract with the possibility of an extension.
- WORK SCHEDULE:Full-time
- EXPECTED START DATE:October 2026
- GROSS ANNUAL SALARY:€30,500-€40,000 per year (gross).
The remuneration shall be based on the candidate’s commitment and merit, as well as how suited they are for the role. The worker must comply with the operating rules set by the Biogipuzkoa Institute in terms of commitment, duties, working hours, leave entitlements, etc.
