Description

The Center for Interacting Urban Networks, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher to support a project studying the Center’s research theme, Uncertainty.

If you have experience and wish to explore how to build systems (both foundational or applied) that can handle uncertain or incomplete data prevalent in urban decision-making scenarios, please apply. A PhD dissertation or research papers that demonstrate a strong interest and research focus in any of risk analysis or minimization, robust optimization, deep learning for systems, probabilistic data management, or decision-making in uncertain environments are a prerequisite. Successful candidates will also demonstrate a capacity to lead independent research with advice and an ability to drive foundational computational research work from applications and vice versa.

The position will also require the ability to collaborate with other researchers on other center themes, such as Mobility and Fairness, and contribute to a comprehensive understanding of urban systems.
