"Postdoctoral Scholar"

The Department of Medicine in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine, is anticipating openings for Postdoctoral Scholars to work in the following divisions: Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Cardiology, Nephrology and Hypertension, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, General Internal Medicine and Primary Care, Rheumatology, Hematology/Oncology, and Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Minimum Requirements: Appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar requires a PhD or equivalent (e.g., Ph.D., M.D.) at the time of application. Candidates should have extensive training in one or more of the above disciplines. Research independence, ability to write and fund independent research projects, and laboratory experience are desirable. Salary is based on background and experience.

Basic Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD or be working towards it, with extensive training in relevant disciplines.
