Job Description:
The New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to join its Center of Excellence team. The postdoctoral scholar will join a dynamic team of scientists spanning a breadth of disciplines, including epidemiology, microbiology, and bioinformatics. We seek researchers interested in infectious disease epidemiology with experience in genetic epidemiology and/or population genetics. Position is based in Syracuse, NY.
Qualifications:
- PhD required in a field relevant to infectious disease epidemiology.
- Experience in genetic epidemiology and/or population genetics required.
- Experience in wastewater-based epidemiology and/or population health modeling preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Support for the Center of Excellence for the New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network
- Develop and implement scientific investigations in line with the objectives of the research group
- Participate in lab meetings, seminars, and collaborative research discussions
- Work collaboratively with other researchers and stakeholders, both within the institution and externally
