Postdoctoral Scholars, Beckman Laser Institute

The Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California, Irvine anticipates openings for postdoctoral scholar positions (Levels 0-IV) for the 2025-26 academic year.

Candidate should possess the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting. Experience in molecular biology and cell culture is also desirable. Seeking qualified candidates with experience in the following biomedical engineering fields:

• Biomedical photonics/optoelectronics
• Biomedical nano- and microscale systems/fabrication
• Biomedical computation/modeling
• Biomolecular and cellular engineering
• Biomaterials
• Tissue/regenerative engineering
• Neuroengineering
• Systems biology
• Cardiovascular engineering

These positions require a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical or optical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or biology and experience in the field/research areas listed above. Alternatively, candidates can have an M.D. or the foreign equivalent.

This is an ongoing recruitment and positions are dependent upon the availability of extramural funding. Initial appointments are for two years and renewal is based on job performance and availability of support. Note: Total duration of an individual's postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.
