Position identification
Research project or operation
The candidate will propose a project that falls within the theme of "ethics and translation", in connection with one or more of the themes of ITI Lethica (triage, moral revolutions, transparency and secrecy case-making) and that is part of at least one of its axes (historical approaches, intercultural approaches, ethics and therapeutics, research-creation)
The ITI Lethica Steering Committee will evaluate the proposed projects according to the following criteria:
− the interdisciplinary nature of the postdoctoral research project
− the structuring nature of the project, which must be clearly part of one of the requested themes and allow the implementation of at least one of the four axes
− innovative nature: it will be a question of proposing methodological and conceptual advances, by encouraging the transversality of approaches. The project will have to clearly specify its contribution to Lethictionary (an online notional dictionary which is part of ITI Lethica's projects, and aims to reflect the research undertaken).
The ITI Lethica steering committee will also be sensitive to the excellence of the candidate's academic career, and to his or her research experience in the field of the links between ethics, literature and the arts

Lethica addresses three global goals:
• Demonstrate the intake of literary and artistic practices for ethical thinking;
• Elaborate new heuristic and critical skills for students and teachers-researchers in the fields of arts, literature and languages (approaches to ethical questions);
• Elaborate new analytical and practical skills for professionals in social mediation, health and care: functions and functioning of narratives, scenarios, images, dialogizations and vocalizations in ethical relations and questionings.
Thematically, Lethica has selected four major contemporary issues, to be explored in the long term, alternatively or consecutively, and meant to give way to interdisciplinary programs and specific topics of investigation. Those themes were the issues of "triage", "moral revolutions", "secrecy and transparency", and "case making and caring
As a thematic interdisciplinary institute it brings together around 100 scholars in visual and plastic arts, drama and film studies, French and Comparative literatures, studies in European and Eastern languages and literatures, theology, sociology, philosophy and medical studies (especially geriatric medicine).
