The Position
The President of City Tech serves as the chief executive and a highly visible leader across the College and throughout New York City. Reporting to the Chancellor of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, the President leads the College’s academic programs, student services, and administrative operations, including budgeting, financial management, human resources, enrollment strategy, facilities oversight, and strategic planning.
The Institution
New York City College of Technology, a public, undergraduate institution in downtown Brooklyn was founded in 1946 and incorporated into CUNY in 1964. It has evolved over 80 years into a comprehensive institution offering 58 associate and baccalaureate degree programs in a rare blend of specialized technological instruction and broad education in the liberal arts and sciences.
Qualifications
The President of City Tech must be an exceptional, mission-driven leader who upholds the highest ethical standards and models openness, transparency, and collaborative engagement. Qualified applicants will demonstrate a strong record of progressive administrative leadership and achievement in an accredited college, university system, or comparably complex organization. An earned doctorate or terminal degree is required for candidacy.
