Overview
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering Communications and Marketing team are excited to begin the search for a Producer/Director to join the team.
Position overview: conceives, proposes, writes, produces and directs film, photography, videography and/or multimedia materials that support the promotional, or other program needs, of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Directs and manages technical and creative aspects of media production.
- Advises clients to determine desired message and which media, format, and style to deliver message to the target audience.
- Develops and arranges new stories through interviews and responds to requests from members of the media; writes scripts based on content provided by the client or generated directly from firsthand research.
- Create, design and direct college news material, commercials, and video for distribution to local and state media and general viewing audiences through multiple means of communication.
- Manages aspects of production necessary for the overall effectiveness of the project.
- Edits all video formats and any other media communication piece in concert with musical and narrative elements.
- Oversees product distribution including but not limited to: product publicity, packaging and promotion, product duplication, conformity to broadcast standards.
Qualifications
Level I: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Level II: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Two years experience in managing media projects to include producing, directing, and scheduling.
Level III: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Four years experience in managing media projects to include producing, directing, and scheduling.
Level IV: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Six years experience in managing media projects to include producing, directing, and scheduling.
Substitution allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
