Program Coordinator, Outreach - Conferences and Institutes
POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Conferences and Institutes, a department within Penn State Outreach, is seeking to hire an Education Program Coordinator to provide support and assistance in the development and delivery of a variety of credit and noncredit educational programs geared toward youth, Penn State students, and adults. Program Coordinators work collaboratively with Program Managers and faculty/chairpersons throughout the planning and delivery of a diverse range of programs with each program having its own unique objectives and needs. While working as part of a team, Program Coordinators oversee a portfolio of 20-25 programs annually.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in project or program coordination. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and organization are critical to the Program Coordinator's success. We value candidates who are forward-thinking, open-minded, and flexible, who have the dedication to learn a variety of new programs, procedures, and systems. Experience with LionPATH, FileMaker, 25Live, SIMBA, and Destiny is desired but not required. This position requires a flexible schedule during conference delivery and will include occasional weekend and evening work.
