The Program Director serves as a key member of the Neurodiversity Center for Excellence (NCE) at Curry College, advancing the College's commitment to inclusive education and student success.
This position leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a one-year, structured post-high school transition program designed to support students as they move into college life. The program specifically serves students who benefit from targeted support in social-emotional development, executive functioning, and personalized learning strategies.
Essential Functions:
1. Program Coordination and Service Delivery:
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day delivery of program services and supports across academic, student life, and career development areas.
- Facilitate students' transition into the program and into college life by overseeing the creation and implementation of individualized student learning plans.
- Apply knowledge of evidence-based transition supports for neurodivergent students.
- Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and communication among departments.
- Maintain clear documentation of service delivery processes, student participation, and program effectiveness.
2. Collaboration and Partnership Development:
- Facilitate collaboration and communication among internal teams.
- Serve as a primary liaison between the college and external providers.
- Foster and maintain strong partnerships with families, caregivers, and advocacy organizations.
- Represent the program and the Neurodiversity Center for Excellence in campus-wide and community initiatives.
3. Staff Training, Consultation, and Professional Development:
- Provide training, coaching, and consultation to faculty and staff.
- Collaborate with the NCE Director of Education and Research to design and deliver professional learning.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning.
- Support staff development through regular supervision, reflection, and feedback.
4. Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
- Track and report on student progress, outcomes, and program metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement.
- Contribute to Curry College's compliance, reporting, and assessment activities.
- Participate in ongoing strategic planning.
Additional Functions:
- Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or their designee.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Development, Communication Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years of professional experience in education, student support services, transition programming, community-based services, counseling, coaching, or a related setting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting neurodivergent students and individuals with diverse learning profiles.
- Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience implementing student-centered support strategies and best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Commitment to fostering belonging, accessibility, and equitable opportunities for students.
Salary Range: $85,000 to $90,000 annually
