Description

Under the direction of the Dean of Health Sciences and Horticulture, the Program Director provides leadership, instruction, administration, and daily operation in the field of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and supports continuous program improvement through professional expertise and effective teaching practices. This includes program organization, budgeting, administration, ongoing review and evaluation, continued program development, and ensuring the effectiveness and quality of program curricula.

The Program Director teaches assigned courses within the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering high-quality instruction in-person.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
2. Any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience as a registered sonographer.
3. Current active registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Abdominal (AB) and Ob-Gyn (OB).
4. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a registered sonographer.
