Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals. All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.
About the Role
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our SCALE Lifelong Learning Programme (Non-Academic) as a Programme Operations Assistant.
Reporting to the Senior Manager (L3P NAP), the incumbent assists in a wide range of programme operations administrative duties that need to be executed effectively and efficiently to support the smooth functioning of the unit.
This role is offered on a 3-month fixed-term contract basis between June to August or December to February and the weekly working hours are 42 hours (Monday to Thursday - 8:30 am to 6 pm; Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm).
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administrative support for programme planning and events management;
- Technical support for Learning Management System* related activities;
- Assist in the running of operations for winter/summer programmes and events;
- Assist in other ad hoc projects, assigned by supervisor/HOD.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Academic & Professional Certification
- GCE A-Level, IB Diploma, NUS High School Diploma, Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent preferred
- IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications*
*Note: Training will be provided (if required).
Experience & Attributes
- Preferably 1–2 years of work experience; candidates without prior experience may also apply.
- Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude
- Excellent coordination and organization skills, with a customer-centric mindset
- Self-motivated individual with a proactive mindset while handling the task assigned
- Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment
