This is a fixed-term appointment for 2 years, with strong possibility for extension subject to funding.

The Global School of Sustainability has established a new Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx), focused on leveraging, strengthening and amplifying research, and developing well targeted policy analysis and other outputs, by convening policymakers, and by providing technical support, assistance and capacity-building. This new centre will support the reforms necessary to deliver sustainable, inclusive and resilient economies and financial systems around the world.

CETEx is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to plan, coordinate and implement delivery of operational components across the centre’s workstreams and grants. Working closely with the Centre Manager, Executive Director, and the rest of the team, the role covers project management of a wide range of policy, research, engagement, publication, communication, budgeting tasks and governance activities. The Project Manager will play a key role in maintaining clear delivery plans, trackers, and visualisations which demonstrate what is being delivered, by whom, and when, and will manage pipelines of work across professional services (administrative, communications, publications). They will work in detail and use project and financial management tools and systems to drive efficiency, clarity, and accountability.

Candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent. They will have demonstrable experience in project coordination and delivery, in a university environment, or equivalent demonstrable project management experience of policy-oriented research activity. Solid experience of developing and maintaining data and records, including contracting trackers and budget management (with Excel and/or other relevant tools) is essential. The postholder will have excellent attention to detail, written and oral communication skills, and excellent organizational skills with the ability to visualise and streamline project components. Ability to effectively co-ordinate the work of others to defined objectives or outputs, including those of senior colleague, and ability to take responsibility for, and work independently on, specific and long-term tasks are crucial.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
