The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Officer, Philippines Project to coordinate the efficient day-to-day operations of the ANU Philippines Institute and provide administrative support to the operational activities of the Philippines Project. The position will report to the Manager, CAP Partnerships and Engagement and work closely with senior academics in the ANU Philippines Institute, and with external stakeholders; such as, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and partner organisations in the Philippines.
In this role you will coordinate key outreach events (eg conferences and seminars), administer a Visiting Fellows program (for Philippines researchers to come to ANU) and a research grants program (for ANU academics to undertake research in the Philippines), develop and update web and social media content, and provide project management support (including contributing to reports and budget management).
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in coordinating projects, events and communications in a university or similarly complex environment. Experience studying or working in the Philippines, or the Asia-Pacific region more broadly would be highly-regarded as would experience working with Government.
To excel in this role, you will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and an ability to be proactive and work both independently and as part of a team.
