About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Projects & Partnerships and working within the EECMS Projects & Partnerships Office (PPO), you will play a key role in coordinating School events and communications. You will also provide general administrative/project support for strategic projects and stakeholder engagement activities.
This is a highly organised and autonomous role suited to someone who thrives on managing multiple priorities simultaneously, maintaining exceptional attention to detail, and delivering high-quality outcomes within scheduled deadlines.
You will coordinate the School's events and engagement activities and key communications channels, maintain the School intranet, support Industry Advisory Board activities, contribute to sustainability reporting, and provide administrative/project support across a range of projects and strategic School initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:
Events, Communications & Engagement
- Coordinate and deliver the School's events and engagement activities, including EECMS Prizegiving, Industry Advisory Board meetings, networking events, launches, workshops, student engagement activities and other strategic initiatives.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of events, including planning, stakeholder liaison, venue coordination, catering, registrations, communications, run sheets, supplier management and post-event evaluation.
- Manage the School Events mailbox and maintain the annual events calendar.
- Coordinate School communications activities including newsletters, event promotions, digital communications and stakeholder engagement materials.
- Refresh and maintain content across the School website and intranet, ensuring information remains accurate, relevant and up to date.
- Curate social media content in partnership with Faculty communications staff to maintain a vibrant and consistent online presence.
Administration Support for Strategic Projects
- Provide coordination and administrative support for projects delivered through the Projects & Partnerships Office.
- Provide administrative support and assist with coordination of activities for projects delivered through the Projects & Partnerships Office (e.g., scheduling, tracking and relevant documentation).
- Support the planning, implementation and monitoring of School strategic initiatives, industry engagement activities and partnership programs.
- Assist with the preparation and publication of the School's annual Sustainability Highlights Report and other key School publications.
- Support Industry Advisory Board activities, including meeting logistics, stakeholder communications and administration.
- Maintain accurate records, project documentation and action registers in accordance with University requirements.
- Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities of the role.
Who We Are Looking For (Selection Criteria):
Our ideal candidate prides themselves on being conscientious and reliable, and will have demonstrable skills, knowledge and experience across the following Essential Criteria:
- A diploma in a related field and considerable relevant work experience, OR an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
- Proven ability to run the full administrative life cycle of a busy work area, including events.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills and confidence with online content-management systems.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with well-developed cross-cultural sensitivity and diplomacy.
- Sound judgement and demonstrable problem-solving skills, with the ability to use discretion and knowledge to determine appropriate actions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a university environment.
Role Requirements:
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
- Ability to travel offsite work outside of normal office hours may be required from time to time to support school events.
