PT Inst of Introduction to Sociology
The Department of Sociology & Anthropology at Ohio Wesleyan University is looking for one or more part-time instructors to teach 1 or 2 sections of Introduction to Sociology in the fall 2026 semester. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field. Doctoral candidates will also be considered. Experience teaching Sociology courses at the undergraduate level is expected. The courses are offered at the following times:
- Introduction to Sociology (Mon/Wed/Fri at 10:00-10:50)
- Introduction to Sociology (Mon/Wed/Fri at 1:10-2:00)
If a candidate is interested, there may be opportunities to teach additional courses in the Spring 2027 semester (including introductory or upper-level electives in the candidate’s area of expertise).
Given that Ohio Wesleyan is a residential, liberal arts institution, all classes are taught in-person. We do not offer online courses during spring and fall semesters.
The compensation is $5,000 per course.
