Salary is dependent upon assignment.
Lab Rate: $94.38 per lab hour
Dentist Lab Rate: $124.20 per lab hour
Essential Functions:
- Teach course(s)/lab(s)/clinic as assigned and as per the Dental Hygiene Faculty Handbook and Dental Hygiene Program Policy and Procedures.
- Perform full scope of skills as per the Washington State practice acts for the respective role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required for Dental Hygienists (or currently enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program) and an active, full, WA state dental hygiene license (Registered Dental Hygienist).
- For Dentists, a Doctorate Degree is required and an active, full, WA state dentist license (Registered Dentist).
- College level teaching experience preferred, but not required.

- Upload (attachment) a brief statement that describes your teaching philosophy/style and addresses strategies used to engage a wide diversity of students; your use of outcomes assessment measures; your use of active learning techniques; and your use of presentation and alternative modes of delivery in the classroom, or, via web-based learning (Teaching Philosophy).
- Provide a brief response to the following questions (Supplemental Questions):
- What personal and professional work have you done in order to broaden your understanding of racial equity and how the intersections of multiple social and cultural identities impact your work and relationships with others? AND
- How have you infused equity and inclusion into your classroom in order for students to be challenged/motivated/inspired to contribute to an equitable society? AND
- Pierce College has set a goal of eliminating areas of inequity for all student populations. How will you contribute to this effort at the classroom, program, and institutional levels?
