The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants should be board certified in Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, house staff, and medical students. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.

Clinical responsibilities may include attending on the inpatient and medical critical care service, as well as providing services in the outpatient ILD clinic. Selected candidates will work with advanced practice providers and/or trainees. Proficiency in consultation and diagnosis for ongoing treatment of critically ill patients in the ICU unit is required. Rounding on the inpatient services for advanced lung disease and participating in a busy outpatient clinical practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center may be required. Additionally, nocturnal service coverage may be required.
