Quantitative Research Fellow: #BeeWell
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Quantitative Research Fellow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with the project lead (Humphrey) and funder (David Gregson of the Gregson Family Foundation) to finalise and translate the funder’s proposed research strands into actionable statistical analysis plans that can be applied to the #BeeWell dataset, within a dynamic and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing statistical analyses of the #BeeWell dataset under the direction of the project lead (Humphrey)
- Prepare outputs relating to said analyses:
- Regular verbal updates and periodic written updates for the funder
- Accessible, non-technical evidence briefings and/or blogs (audience: project partners)
- Articles for peer-reviewed academic journals (audience: research community)
About You
We encourage applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. You should demonstrate:
Essential Criteria:
- Holds a PhD in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, education)
- Substantial experience working on projects in education, psychology or a related field which involve the management and analysis of large, complex datasets (e.g., cohort studies)
- Proven skills in advanced quantitative data analysis (e.g. hierarchical linear modelling, structural equation modelling)
- Advanced skills in use of statistical analysis packages such as R, Stata and/or MPlus
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of working within, or in close partnership with, policy-making bodies, government departments, and/or non-governmental organisations
- Experience of applying quantitative research to influence policy
