Job Description
The School of Nursing and Health Studies invites applications for a 12-month and/or 9-month, full-time, ranked non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in the Clinical Division, with primary responsibilities in the Nurse Practitioner (NP) programs.
The faculty member will contribute to didactic, clinical, and programmatic needs within our MSN, DNP, and certificate NP programs, teaching across online, hybrid, and/or in-person modalities.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach graduate-level didactic and/or clinical courses within the NP programs and support broader School teaching needs as assigned.
- Supervise and evaluate NP students in clinical settings and support the development and oversight of high-quality clinical learning experiences.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to NP students related to progression, clinical placement, and professional development.
- Mentor DNP scholarly projects, including project development, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination.
- Contribute to curriculum development, program evaluation, accreditation, and continuous quality-improvement activities.
- Participate in faculty service, committee work, and collaborative initiatives that support interprofessional education and scholarship.
- Maintain current clinical expertise, strong communication, regular on-campus engagement, and an inclusive learning environment aligned with UMKC and SoNHS values.
