Receptionist
The Department of Chemistry is seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join the Facilities Team on a fixed-term, variable hours basis until 1 September.
Based across the Department’s four Chemistry buildings, Receptionists play an important role as the first point of contact for visitors, students, academics and staff.
The role involves providing a welcoming and professional reception service while supporting the day-to-day running of the Department through a range of administrative and operational duties.
Responsibilities include responding to enquiries in person, by telephone and email, managing visitors and deliveries, handling incoming and outgoing post, maintaining departmental records and databases, booking parking spaces, issuing keys and equipment, and supporting building operations and security procedures.
The postholder may also provide occasional evening or weekend reception cover for departmental events.
The successful candidate will have previous reception or front-of-house experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and good IT skills, including experience using email, spreadsheets and databases.

Pay Scale: STANDARD GRADE 3
Salary: £27,534 - £28,437 per annum (Pro-Rata)
