REGISTERED NURSE (D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion-PAV 10-Cardiac Thoracic Surgery)

Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to critically ill surgical patients/families who experience a wide variety of complex, multi-system health problems and to participate in health activities.

PAV 10 Adult Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry Unit is a 48-bed adult telemetry step-down unit specializing in the delivery of care to post-operative patients who have undergone cardio-thoracic surgeries such as heart valve replacements/repairs, coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) implants, heart and lung transplants, various lung surgeries and esophageal surgeries.

• Current RN licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
• One (1) year of Telemetry RN experience

• BSN preferred.
• Telemetry experience
• Recent ICU/ICU step-down experience.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving, leadership and effective delegation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• ACLS or CCRN certification
