REGISTERED NURSE- MM UH Diagnostic Radiology
Providing focused, episodic care, from pre-op prep, to intra-procedural monitoring and administration of sedation/analgesia, to post-op recovery and patient/family education, for a variety of adult and pediatric patients, accommodating both the in-patient and out-patient populations, requiring radiological exams and or interventional procedures, as well as responding to emergency care call’s in all areas of Radiology.
- Current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Four (4) of the last seven (7) years experience in ED, Interventional Radiology, ICU, PACU, SWAT or Survival Flight – OR – Current employee as a CSR nurse in the Diagnostic or Interventional Radiology Department
- ACLS certification required

- Proficient in IV skills both in Adult & Pediatric populations as evidenced by feedback from others/evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a less structured environment by feedback from others/evaluation.
- Demonstrated flexibility in meeting unanticipated demands and priorities of various patient populations as evidenced by feedback from others/evaluation.
- Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills as evidenced by feedback from others/evaluation.
Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.
Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort.
Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.
Shift: Day/Evening rotation
Hours: Two 12-hour shifts per week. Variable starting times.
Weekends are required for this position.
Weekend call may be required.
Holiday on-call requirements are based on seniority.
* Note: Hours for this position may be changed to reflect the activity & needs of the unit. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
* Schedule will include rotation to all current and future site locations.
All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
