Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to students, staff, and visitors within a busy and supportive Health Centre environment. You will deliver clinical services, promote patient wellbeing, and contribute to a holistic approach to healthcare through education, early intervention, and ongoing support.

You will play a key role in triaging patients, administering treatments, supporting preventative health programmes, and ensuring all care is delivered in line with professional standards, relevant legislation, and best practice guidelines.

Mōu | Who You Are

You are a compassionate and skilled nursing professional who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative and culturally inclusive environment. You will bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a health centre or medical setting
  • Current knowledge of infection control, wound care, immunisations, and sexual health
  • Experience using medical databases (ideally Medtech) and strong administrative accuracy
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation including Privacy, Health & Disability, and Consumer Rights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • You will also demonstrate a commitment to professional development, cultural competency (including an appreciation of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga), and alignment with organisational values that promote wellbeing, inclusivity, and respect.

We are also looking for a nurse with some extended skills, such as but not limited to:

  • IV certified plus able to give iron infusions
  • Knowledge in Gender affirming care
  • Sexual health and cervical screening
  • Recalls on MedTech Evolution

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nursing staff, and administrative professionals, as well as engaging with students and staff from across the wider organisation.
