The Strategic Research Programme in Cancer at KI, Cancer Research KI, is an umbrella organisation with the aim to represent and facilitate the cancer research field at KI, which is a broad and multidisciplinary research area with research groups at all KI institutions.
Your mission
The Cancer Research KI organisation is now looking for a on year replacement research administrator to help coordinate the initiatives of the programme with a variety of duties with extra focus on communication, as a member of the administrative team of Cancer Research KI.
The position offers a varied spectrum of tasks:
- Communication (web page, newsletters, social media, etc.)
- Organizing and conducting events (meetings, workshops, conferences) of different sizes from seminars to larger conferences.
- Participating in ongoing EU projects.
- Assisting with administration of EU projects.
Your profile
We are looking for an early career stage researcher at KI, perhaps in the first years after Ph.D., or a highly experienced research and EU project administrator, to be a valuable member of the Cancer Research KI research coordination team, taking part in running the daily operations of the organization, with great interest in communication and project management, who can work independently.
The research administrator would preferably have a Ph.D. in the biomedical field, and/or very good prior knowledge of the KI system. It would also be an advantage if you have prior work experience from academia and/or industry with similar tasks. Good organising skills are of great importance, with the ability to manage multiple projects, communicate with various stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and data visualization skills are highly important, as well as an interest to develop communication channels for the organization. Familiarity in working with social media is a plus. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as communication and social skills and the ability to cooperate. Good written English skills are required and knowledge of Swedish (spoken/written) is advantageous.
