Position Summary/Overview
The Research Assistant will support computational biology research in Dr. Tyc's laboratory by contributing to the development of an R-based software package that integrates omics and drug response data to identify candidate therapeutics. Work focuses on software development, data analysis, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) methods into the lab's analytical workflow. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, resolving standard issues independently and referring complex issues as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Develops, tests, and documents R package functions for omics and drug
response data.
● Integrates AI methods into analytical workflows to support automated
interpretation of results.
● Processes, summarizes, and reports research data.
● Participates in software validation and reproducible research practices.
● Maintains code, documentation, and analysis records.
● Trains staff and students on lab software tools.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or
equivalent education
and experience.
