General Position Description
This position provides support to collect, review, analyze, validate and submit data to state and federal agencies. Conducts independent research and maintains data quality. Provides routine and customized reports and data for auditors as well as complies with state and federal requirements.
Flexible Work Arrangement
Fully Remote: Employee performs all job duties off-site, typically at home or another suitable location. When possible, the fully remote employee may occasionally be required to work on site with advance notice.

Salary Range: $56,653 - $63,735 per year
Description of Job Function
- Supports the collection, review, analysis, validation, and submission of institutional data to state and federal agencies to meet strict deadlines.
- Prepares reports and presentations based on research and analysis in response to internal and external requests.
- Conducts initial reviews of department requests to answer inquiries related to state and federal agencies complies.
- Provides support in the creation, maintenance and expansion of related databases. Queries and shapes data to construct structures needed for statistical analyses.
- Identifies and analyzes data for visualizations, reports, and presentations to translate complex data findings into intelligible insights for both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Develops and/or uses tools for required research, to include survey questionnaires, data extraction procedures, data communications/transfer protocols, file management techniques, and documentation programs.
- Assists leadership to articulate and implement analytics strategies to support state and federal reporting.
- Works with Office of Information Technology (OIT) and other departments to test and update Student Information Systems for state reporting programs.
- Remains up to date on federal and state regulations and requirements to ensure compliance with report submissions.
- Participates in analytics and reporting projects and activities to support college's strategic goals and decision-making processes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Preferred Education & Field of Study
Educational Research, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
Preferred Type of Experience
Experience in a position involving computer-based information analysis.
Experience with relational databases.
Experience working in higher education.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge higher education principles and operations, with particular emphasis on state and federal reporting requirements.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in SAS, SQL and other data manipulation programming languages.
- Ability to analyze institutional and reporting needs and assemble and interpret meaningful data.
- Knowledge in Student Information Systems.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments, organize work, make decisions, and function independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate interpersonally, orally, and in writing.
- Ability to perform statistical and/or quantitative analyses.
General Working Conditions
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
