Participation in the implementation of the NCN SONATA-21 research project "Plasma state classification and abnormal event detection in nuclear fusion devices with Symmetrized Dot Pattern and Machine Learning applied to time series of tokamak plasma radiation measurements".
A job applicant should hold a bachelor's degree in science and natural sciences (physical sciences). A job applicant is expected to possess:
- Basic knowledge of tokamak physics.
- Practical knowledge of programming languages and IT tools used in data analysis.
- Practical skills in database creation, data management and scientific programming.
- Knowledge of spoken and written English, enabling communication in an international team and scientific literature.

IPPLM offers:
- full-time employment under the scholarship agreement for the duration of the NCN project and a basic salary of PLN 4,875 gross,

Period of participation in the project – 12 months, possible starting date 12 October 2026.
Eligibility criteria
The qualifications of a person applying for employment at the IPPLM are assessed by the Selection Committee on the basis of the documents and materials provided and the opinion of the Head of Department in which the candidate is to be employed. In addition, the Head of the Department and/or the Selection Committee may invite the person applying for employment for an interview.

The Selection Committee may ask the applicant to submit additional materials concerning his/her qualifications and scientific achievements.
Selection process
An applicant may submit to the Selection Committee other additional materials attesting to qualifications, research achievements and information about interests not related to the research specified in the competition notice.
Documents submitted by a person applying for a research and technical position at the IPPLM will not be returned. The Selection Committee reserves the right to contact selected persons.
